Ktown Photo is operated by Ktown Team, an independent community organization in Koreatown, Los Angeles. Ktown Team is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. Ktown Team does not engage in commercial activity.
We are guided by respect for individual privacy, ethical data stewardship, commitment to community benefit, inclusivity, and empowering community control over data use.
Ktown Photo is intended for ages 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 16 or from children under 13. If we learn we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
Technical data (IP address, device type, browser version) — for site functionality and security. Raw logs deleted within 90 days.
Interaction data (pages viewed, search queries, image views) — to improve the site. Aggregated and anonymized; not stored linked to individual identifiers.
Contact information (name, email when voluntarily provided) — to respond to requests. Retained until resolved or upon deletion request.
Contributor data (name, submitted photos, licensing records) — to manage contributions. Retained for duration of contribution.
Ktown Cloud, LLC provides development, hosting, and technical support for the platform under a written agreement that limits its use of personal data to performing these services on behalf of Ktown Team. Ktown Cloud does not use Ktown Team user data for its own commercial purposes.
Other service providers (such as CDN or email) are subject to equivalent contractual restrictions.
All photography follows ethical standards including informed consent and respect for privacy. If you contribute photos, you retain ownership and choose what identifying information to include.
If you are depicted in a photo and wish to have it removed, contact [email protected]. This is handled under our Copyright Policy takedown procedures.
We offer these rights regardless of legal obligation:
Submit requests to [email protected]. We will verify your identity and respond within 45 days.
Authorized agents: You may designate someone to submit requests on your behalf with written proof of authorization.
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, regular security monitoring, and contractual security obligations for service providers including Ktown Cloud, LLC.
In the event of a breach, we will notify affected individuals as required by applicable law.
We do not sell, rent, or share personal data for marketing. We may share minimal data with service providers under contract, and may disclose data if required by law or to prevent imminent harm.
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for stated purposes. Technical logs are deleted or anonymized within 90 days. Other data is removed when no longer needed.
Significant changes will be announced with prominent notice. This policy is published in English. Translations are available upon request by contacting [email protected]. In the event of any discrepancy, the English version shall prevail.
